Dr. Conforti's work elucidates the fundamental mysteries of the Grail ( that which joins matter and spirit in the sacred marriage) by examining the unified, archetypal field in which this union takes place. Quantum sciences and Depth Psychology are the important investigative tools Dr. Conforti uses for revealing these mysteries.

Learning how to align ourselves with the mysterious intelligence of matter and spirit in harmony allows us to befriend Life in a sustainable, co-operative and evolutionary mode. Actively engaging with the necessary chaos of such transformation can create the critical mass needed to make possible an evolutionary shift for humankind.

During the evening lecture and day long workshop, Dr. Michael Conforti will focus on Archetypal Pattern Recognition, the formation of patterns and their relationship to archetypes, and their vital and vitalizing application within the therapeutic, personal, corporate and global arenas.

Nowhere is the confluence and relationship between matter and psyche more clearly expressed than in the formation of patterns. Existing within both the internal world of the psyche and the outer natural world, archetypal patterns are expressions of an innate ordering process, which gives matter its specific form and design. We find archetypal patterns expressed in our architectural designs, cities, cultures, and even on a personal level in our choice of spouse, employee, or therapist. In fact, with a discerning eye, we can often intuit the expression of the destiny that is suggested by the patterns established within our lives.

Michael Conforti, Ph.D., is a Jungian analyst, and Founder and Director of the Assisi Conferences. He is a faculty member at the C. G. Jung Institute in Boston and the C. G. Jung Foundation of New York, and a Senior Associate faculty member in the Doctoral and Master Programs in Clinical Psychology at Antioch New England. He is the author of the highly acclaimed book, Field, Form, and Fate: Patterns in Mind, Nature, and Psyche, and a visiting lecturer at the C. G. Jung Institute, Zurich, and other Jungian organizations within the United States, Canada, Europe (including Denmark and Italy), Caracas, Venezuela, the Caribbean, and Mexico. Among recent honors, Dr. Conforti has been invited to present his work at the infamous Eranos Conference in Ascona, Switzerland. The list of past presenters includes C. G. Jung, Adolph Portmann, D. T Suzuki, Richard Wilhelm, Rudolf Otto, Mircea Eliade, and Karl Kerenyi.

Dr. Conforti has pioneered the Assisi Italy Conference that have been running for 12 years. This conference is considered ground-breaking in the field and one of the most highly regarded international programs focusing on the integration of the New Sciences, Jungian Psychology, and the archetypal dimension of self-organization. Over the years faculty have included Allan Combs, Ph.D., Ervin Laszlo, Ph.D., Sylvia Brinton-Perera, M.A. Jungian Analyst, Christopher Alexander, Ph.D., practicing architect and Professor of Architecture at University of California, Vilmos Csanyi, Ph.D., Chair of Ethnology Department at Eotvos University in Hungary, and Mae-Wan Ho, Ph.D., biophysicist at the Bio-electro Dynamics Laboratory at Open University in England.

Praise for Dr. Conforti's book, Field, Form and Fate:

C. G. Jung emphasized the deep link to the physical world that exists for the collective unconscious and its archetypes. Our dreams, symbols, as well as, the patterns of our behaviour are shaped by the fact that we are creatures of a material universe. Michael Conforti's research has been directed to understanding the nature of these links and patterns in the light of the new sciences quantum theory, chaos theory, self-organization and the new biology. Conforti's book successfully integrates this material to offer a new exciting challenge to psychotherapy. It demonstrates that the study of consciousness cannot neglect the insights of sciences and in doing so promises a unified view of mind and matter.
--- F. David Peat ---

Conforti's compelling work about the confluence of matter and psyche is a ground breaking continuation of Jung's discoveries of the "Objective Psyche" and its archetypal structures. With many examples from psychotherapeutic practice, it speaks also to clinicians and can broaden their view extensively.
--- Mario Jacoby ---

Building on Jung's understanding of archetypal patterning in the psyche, Michael Conforti takes his reader into the evolving consciousness which opens Jung #s psychology into interdisciplinary studies: theology the new sciences, archaeology, microbiology, and modern medicine. Anyone interested in the relationship between psyche and matter will turn to this book.
